A reader questioned me about a statement in a post dealing with Spiritism: “the fact that spirits can communicate with the living is today a proved occurrence, with thousands of cases that give no room for doubt, although there are numerous other cases of persons claiming to be mediums and exploring the credibility of people to make money.”
I will relate a case that happened with my brother-in-law. He lost his younger daughter, Thais, twenty three years old, in the same day of her wedding, in a car accident. The whole family was shocked. My brother-in-law is an adept of Spiritism, and, after a couple of years, started receiving letters from his daughter, through a medium, that, although not knowing her or her family, wrote about facts that only the family could know. In addition, the signature of the letters were recognized as hers, including the three hearts that she used to draw below.
My brother-in-law received three letters through this medium. He went to a session with another medium and received two more letters with the same signature with the three hearts. Neither of the two mediums received any payment for their services. That is prohibited by Spiritism.
How can we figure this out? Could it be a kind of mental transmission that science cannot explain yet? Spiritism claims that they are messages from the deceased.
